Each CPL- UV-3150 is shipped with two interchangeable
objective lens. Each lens is designed to work in different
areas of the electromagnetic spectrum. This feature allows
the operator to choose between the UV lens when working
in the ultra- violet spectrum and the IR lens when working
in the near infrared spectrum
< Design Features>
The CPL- UV-3150 features a convenient handle for easy
grasping and comfortable use. A push- button switch is
located on the handle for simple viewer operation. A ?-
20 tpi tri-pod mount is located on every viewer for securely
mounting the viewer to a tri-pod or workbench should this
be required. The CPL- UV-3150 is powered by a disposable
9 Volt dc battery, which is located in the viewer’s handle.
The CPL- UV-3150 features a highly efficient high voltage
power supply capable of powering the viewer for over
200 hours of use. This high voltage power supply also
contains a bright source protection circuitry which
will protect the viewers' sensitive detector against
accidental exposure to very bright light sources.
The CPL- UV-3150 utilizes a two lens system for optimum
performance from the UV to the IR. Each lens is designed
and manufactured to perform well in its respective wavelength.
Also the UV objective is capable of imaging well into
the visible as well as the IR thanks to its 5 element
computer designed optical system. This one feature alone
gives you added versatility that no other UV viewer
can match.
The CPL- UV-3150 also features a well-balanced multi
element eyepiece. The eyepiece features a convenient
5 start external thread that allows the operator quick
and convenient adjustment when passing the viewer from
technician to technician.
