The ILA GmbH was founded in 1995 as a spin-off company of the Berlin Technical University. At the beginning, ILA achieved the development of simple 1D LDV systems. These systems have proven to be extremely precise and to present an extraordinary long term stability, due to their extremely stable design and light sources. These LDV systems have been taken till today as reference standard for the calibration of velocity sensors.
The 2D-LDV Probe is based on our fp50-shifted probe’s design, it follows the ILA’s approach of building high reliable LDV probes with incorporated lasers and without optical transmission fibers.
VIEW MOREUsing conventional LDV systems in strong velocity gradients is difficult, because the measured velocity is an average over the length of the measuring volume.
VIEW MOREILA offers customized systems of traversing units that fit any application, enabling us to build a system even if the space at the customer’s side is challenging.
VIEW MOREFor optical measurements inside a pipe it is necessary to get optical access to the flow field. This can be realized by a window chamber.
VIEW MOREThe calibration of the ILA LDV systems is done by measuring the mean interference fringe distance in the measurement volume at the German National Metrology Institute (PTB-Braunschweig), which issues an...
VIEW MOREThe non-intrusive Filtered Rayleigh Scattering (FRS) method is well suited to measure the temperature, velocity, density and pressure in unseeded gas flows. It was developed and proved by DLR.
VIEW MOREDoppler Global Velocimetry (DGV) is a contactless and non-intrusive planar optical measuring method developed by the german aerospace center DLR.
